Transformed industrial wire rods take on the form of modern seating through the genius of Italian-born designer Harry Bertoia. Bertoia said of his wire seating collection, "If you look at the chairs, they are mainly made of air. Space passes through them." Our replica counter stool provides no better example of his airy wire creations with its exacting replication of the original Bertoia Counter Stool.
Inspired by Bertoia's design, we produced our reproduction barstool to reflect the timeless craftsmanship and authentic-quality found in his original creation. Our stool features the same airy feel and geometric appeal rendered in strong industrial wire.
While the original barstool's price far exceeds many modern design enthusiast's budgets, our replica of the Bertoia Barstool has all the classic features and premium craftsmanship as the original at a much more manageable price point. Among other reproductions, the materials and expertise used to create our products are top quality. This allows enjoyment and ownership of a classic modern piece without sacrificing quality for attainability.

At a mere 37 years old furniture designer Harry Bertoia experienced his first major success in 1952 with the patenting of his revered Diamond Chair. With this hallmark design, he introduced the world to a new material ideal for the making of modern furniture-industrial wire mesh. In the moment Bertoia rendered his first chair in wire, he became a sculptor, creating not only functional furnishings but works of art coveted by modern design enthusiasts the world over. He would go on to enjoy numerous accolades and awards for his art and furniture designs throughout his lifetime.
To clean barstool and vinyl pad, avoid use of harsh acidic or abrasive cleaning solutions. Use damp soapy sponge or cloth for general clean-up.
