A Note On the affects COVID-19 on order flow

In response to the recent COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Outbreak, HONORMILL wanted to take a moment to fill you in on our plans moving forward. To start, the health and safety of our employees and customers is a matter of the utmost importance.

With that said, we have been following guidelines set by the CDC, hoping to do our part in reducing the spread of the virus. We’ve made adjustments within our corporate offices for employees to work remotely to allow for social distancing.

Our Customer Service team has been set up to best assist customers via phone, email, and chat from their homes. Our manufacturing and warehouse facilities are being regularly sanitized and the health of those employees is being closely monitored. As an e-commerce brand, we are doing our best to continue receiving, processing, and shipping orders to you.

Our warehouse is open.

Due to lighter staffing, issues with shipping service providers and a multitude of supply chain issues being experienced across the country, you may experience delays in receiving your orders. We apologize for any inconvenience these potential delays may cause. We will continue to monitor the situation, as well as continue to follow guidelines from the CDC, and we will reach out should the situation change again.

Changes to Custom Goods.

HONORMILL has provided small and large order Custom and Made-to-order options on modern classics since 2007. However, due to extreme changes in the marketplace we have recently suspended custom goods manufacturing for various reasons. Here are just a few reasons why:

  • Shipping ports globally are strained to capacity, with backlogs at record levels.
  • Vietnam and Malaysia are effectively shut down due to covid, and one major port in China is partially shut down.
  • In the US, there is a significant shortage of available trucks and truck drivers, further delaying the movement of containers and product.
  • Difficulty in sourcing material options
  • Just container costs for example are up about 150% from July of this year.

Internally, our performance has been challenged by the surge in business. At the same time, we're having Covid restrictions and quarantines from time to time. Hiring is also more difficult than ever before. We'll need to continue to review for price adjustments, as so many costs exceed all projections but will make every effort to maintain our price competitiveness.
