What is your return policy?

HONORMILL wants every one of your shopping experiences with us to be a positive one. We are happy to offer our customers a simple, no hassle return policy. In the event that you are unhappy with your in-stock item, you may return it to us for a period 14 days from date of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price less the actual shipping cost and a 15% restocking fee. This restocking fee helps us to offset the cost when our vendors or manufacturers charge us to return goods. Any free shipping applied to your original order may be deducted from your return credit. For example, if we offered free shipping on your order, we will issue you a credit for the purchase price of the returned merchandise, but will deduct our actual shipping costs for returned items.

Items must be completely unused, in their original condition and packaging, complete with all materials and resalable as new. Customers are responsible for returning the item to its warehouse of origin using the same shipping method used for outbound shipment. Refunds for the purchase price only will be issued once we have received the item and it has been determined to be in like-new condition.

Before sending back an item, please contact us through our customer service form. Once we receive your return request we will contact you within 24 hours with information regarding your return. All return requests must be made within 7 days of delivery. All returns must be sent insured for the purchase price. If an item is returned with shipping damage, it is the customer's responsibility to file a claim for the damaged merchandise.

Discounted items or items purchased using a discount Promo Code may not be returned or exchanged.

We do not accept returns on orders outside the continental United States.

Promo Codes: promotional discount codes when available apply only to sales generated on the web site. Phone sales do not qualify for any internet advertised promotional discounts.

What is your cancellation policy?

Because most of our items ship or go into production within a few days, we can only accept cancellations within 24 hours from when your order was placed. However, a handling fee of 5% will be assessed and deducted from the refund. If an item has already shipped within this 24 hour period, you will be responsible for paying shipping back to the manufacturer and a restocking fee (if applicable). All cancellations are responsible for the credit card payment fee of 5%. All cancellation requests must be emailed to support@honormill.com. 

Due to costs associated with cancelling and refunding orders, a cancellation charge 5% of the purchase total will be applied for orders cancelled after 24 hours but prior to shipping.

What if my order arrives damaged or different than ordered?

Every shipment is insured in the unlikely event that damage occurs during transit to your shipping location. While cases are rare, damages do happen once in a while. It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect your item(s) upon delivery. If your item(s) shipped via common carrier i.e. FedEx or UPS, simply refuse delivery and contact us immediately for a replacement. For LTL deliveries i.e. Fedex Freight, Estes, etc., print "Damaged Upon Arrival" where you sign for the items and refuse delivery. After delivery is refused, we will file a claim and send you a replacement product. If the product is accepted and damaged, you will be responsible for filing a claim with the proper carrier.

Materials and discrepancies: Due to the nature of the furniture business, we cannot guarantee that the finish of the ordered wood, leather, or stone will be exactly as pictured. Imperfections or variations in the grain, color, or sheen of the wood may occur naturally. Stone finishes such as marble and granite will differ in color and veining. In addition, variations in the color, sheen and texture (wrinkling and natural marks) of leather may occur due to different dying and tanning processes and natural phenomena. As a result, these naturally occurring characteristics are not viewed as damages or defects. Please note that images of products displayed on the website may differ in color due to differences in the resolution of computer monitors.

Leather: HONORMILL uses only the finest Italy leather in finishing of our furniture. In order to keep our collection affordable, your piece may also include "leather-match" material such as vinyl in areas of the piece that are not for seating such as the back and sides of some the items. This does not take away from the appearance or durability of the piece. However, if you require "Full Leather" for your furniture, please contact us to discuss the upcharge for full leather.

Marble and Stone: Stone is a natural material and variances in color, veining, edging and surface polish are considered normal and are not considered defects. All marble and stone items whether in stock or custom cannot be cancelled, changed, returned or refunded unless damaged or seriously defective. It is at the sole discretion of HONORMILL to determine whether a marble or stone is indeed defective. If in the event we deem a marble defective, it is at our sole discretion whether to repair, replace or issue a refund for the purchase. Under no circumstances on custom orders will the client be able to cancel an order once it is placed unless it has not been placed into production and HONORMILL agrees to the cancellation.

Shipping Questions

What does shipping cost?

HONORMILL offers discounted curbside delivery on all items shipping within the continental United States as a default on all orders. If you require in-house delivery, set up and packing material removal-we also offer White Glove delivery for an additional fee when available. Curbside delivery, as the name implies obligates the carrier only to the curbside or fiorst dry location at the address proivided. Customer must make their own arrangements to move the items from that point. HONORMILL is in no way reposponsible for customers unable to or unwilling to recieve their goods at time of delivery for any reason and if refused, customer will be responsble for all applicable fees inlcuded but not limited to restock fees and any and all shipping and stoprage fees where applicable.

Will the carrier bring my item(s) into my home?

HONORMILL may offer "White Glove" as a shipping option on most large items in areas where it is available. HONORMILL makes no guarantee that White Glove shipping will be an option on your order. This option is available during checkout at an additional cost. This service includes delivery inside your house, apartment or place of business (including two flights of stairs), removal of packaging and up to 15 minutes of setup. Additional labor may be subject to additional charges.

HONORMILL is not responsible for charges imposed by a carrier for storage or redelivery in the event the client is unable or unwilling to recieve their order. Any charges related to delivery cancellation/delays by the client must be paid by the client prior to final delivery. 

Is my purchase protected by a warranty?

Each product is covered by the warranty offered by its manufacturer for defects. If the item breaks from regular use, (not including, customer inflicted chips, scratches, cracks, tears, etc.) and it is an an HONORMILL item, it is covered for one-year from the time of purchase for replacement or repair at the discretion of HONRMILL. Items from our Younger Collection, Innovation and Phillips Collection have a 1-year manufacturers warranty against defects. Some suppliers for our domestically sourced suppliers may not cover for one year so please communciate with us as soon as you detect a problem and we will do whatever possible to rectify this for you. The customer must provide the proof of purchase in addition to the damaged item in its entirety. We will not accept a partial exchange, all of the pieces of the item must be returned to HONORMILL. The total of the return and exchange shipping fees will be divided equally between HONORMILL Furniture and the customer. Variations in color of wood and marble are considered normal and will not be considered defective. Defects must be reported to us immediately when a product is received.

All domestic and international orders are subject to the governing laws of the United States of America and the State of New York.

Each party irrevocably and unconditionally agrees that it will not commence any action, litigation, or proceeding of any kind whatsoever against the other party in any way arising from or relating to this Agreement, including all exhibits, schedules, attachments, and appendices attached to this Agreement, and all contemplated transactions, including, but not limited to, contract, equity, tort, fraud, and statutory claims, in any forum other than the US District Court for the Southern District of New York or, if such court does not have subject matter jurisdiction, the courts of the State of New York sitting in New York County, and any appellate court from any thereof. Each party irrevocably and unconditionally submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and agrees to bring any such action, litigation, or proceeding only in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York or, if such court does not have subject matter jurisdiction, the courts of the State of New York sitting in New York County. Each party agrees that a final judgment in any such action, litigation, or proceeding is conclusive and may be enforced in other jurisdictions by suit on the judgment or in any other manner provided by law. In the event of legal proceedings involving any order, whether arising in tort or in contract, HONORMILL shall have the right to recoup from you its reasonable attorney’s fees and costs incurred in the proceedings where HONORMILL it is the prevailing party.

HONORMILL has posted measurements on items to serve as a guide only and is not responsible for 'NOMINAL' size discrepancies. All measurements advertised are within 1-4 inches accuracy to manufacturer's specifications. HONORMILL makes every effort to represent its merchandise accurately, however due to occasional changes in manufacturing by its suppliers, slight color variations or variations in dimensions of an item are considered normal. If you have very specific dimension or color requirement you must contact us to confirm the exact dimension of an item. How does your "furniture customization" option work?

On many of our items, you can customize your furniture by choosing the fabrics, leathers and woods you love. Please note: A few select styles are available only in the stocked fabric and cannot be customized, as indicated on the product page. Choose your materials. We offer more than 240 fabrics and leathers in a range of colors and patterns.

Custom Orders Policy

Terms and Conditions for Custom Orders

Important Note: Due to the ongoing import crisis, an Ocean Charge on all custom orders of 18% may be imposed. This charge will partially offset our additional costs to continue to offer our customers, fine made-to-order custom modern furniture. When placing an order for a custom or out of stock item, you will receive a message during your checkout process notifying of how long the estimated shipping time is for that item. Please note that although we do our best to get your order produced and shipped as soon as possible, these shipping times are estimates only as shipping time may vary. Production times may vary due to production back log, variances in shipping line schedules and other factors that are not be within our control.

All custom orders (items not in-stock at the time you are ordering it) must be paid in advance. In addition, due to the custom made nature of some of our furniture, we only accept bank wire, ACH or checks as payment for any custom, made to order pedestal tables or custom furniture. Custom furniture is any item not normally in-stock. Please allow for variations in color as your computers monitor may not accurately represent actual colors of the materials used. Slight variances in colors or variances in dimensions of up to 10% are considered normal and will not be accepted as defective. If a specific dimension is required for an item, it is the customers responsibility to communicate the exact requirement so that our production manager can determine if the requirement can be met.

Custom order are generally placed into production within 24 hours of being placed. All custom orders are non-refundable, non-cancellable and non-returnable. In the event HONORMILL accepts a cancellation on a custom item already placed into production, a cancellation fee of 50% will be charged. All custom orders will be produced in a manner that our production manager sees fit. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to communicate in writing exact details of a custom order otherwise HONORMILL will not be responsible if the client is not satisfied with any production detail of the item.

Customers Own Materials: If our selection of fabrics and leather is not desirable for finishing your custom item, you may provide your own material for a custom finish on your item. However, we may ask to inspect a material sample before accepting your material. We accept no liability for the appearance of the item or the material after it is finished in the customer’s material. In addition, the use of Customer’s Material may void the warranty on that item. The customer is responsible for the costs of shipping the material whether it is to our domestic or overseas workshop. In the event the material is lost or damaged during shipping, it is the responsibility of the customer to file a claim for the loss. Under no circumstances will HONORMILL accept liability for any material if lost, stolen or damaged for any reason. If your item arrives damaged, under the damage and defect protection we will replace the item however, the customer is responsible for supplying the required material for the replacement. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to provide any Special Instructions with regard to the material and its application to the furniture. HONORMILL will review these instructions and decide whether to accept them or decline.

Terms for ordering Pedestal Dining Tables

How they are made: All of our quartz dining table tops and certain marble tops are made-to-order in the USA and require approximately 3 weeks before they are ready to ship it.Each table top is cut to specifications and proportions commonly present in the original design of the Saarinen Pedestal Tulip Table of the finest quartz and marble local sources, often imported from countries such as Italy.Each table possesses the iconic pencil-bevel edge which is hand ground and polished by our skilled craftsmen and women.

How they are shipped: White Glove service includes delivery, placement and assembly but is generally available only in the New York area. For orders outside the New York area, each table is carefully cradled in a protective, heavy-duty wooden crate that is constructed to safely support you table top. It is then stood and framed upright on a pallet along with the table base and shipped by freight. Please note that freight service generally will only deliver to the “first dry location” on your property such as a garage or porch. Each customer should make arrangement and prepare to receive your table at time of delivery.The crate that encapsulates the table top will require disassembly and basic tools like screwdrivers, hammer or pry bar may be needed. If you are unable to manage the uncrating, a qualified professional should be hired to assist you.

Damage: It is the sole responsibility of the customer to inspect the shipment for damage. Once the delivery is signed for with no damage noted, we will not accept any request for replacement due to damage. It will be the responsibility of the customer to attempt to obtain any reimbursement from the shipment carrier.Our table tops are made of solid stone and extremely heavy and depending on the material, can also be very fragile. Depending on the size, a top can weigh anywhere from 100lbs to over 300lbs. Great care should be taken in moving and installing these tables and ideally should be handled by a skilled professional.
